What you’ll be doing

You should be driven and passionate about making order in the data management and protection area for high tech companies operating in a fast-paced environment and seeking to expand globally.

We are searching for an experienced data protection professional who would be enthusiastic about starting and heading a brand-new service line for existing Baltic Assist customers that require help. The job would also involve building the data protection department from scratch (team, knowledgebase, processes).

How you’ll spend your day

  • Implementing full compliance of the client’s organization with all legislation in relation to data protection.
  • Identifying breaches and preparing the required documentation for a specific company for it to be fully compliant with data protection regulations.
  • Preparing and running the required training for client’s employees in order to make sure employees are aware of their obligations under data protection law and can act accordingly.
  • Ensuring continuity for client’s company compliance by reviews and updates of documentation.
  • Assembling and training a team of data protection analysts who will participate in data protection compliance projects.
  • Setting standards and reviewing policies and procedures globally that meet the requirements under the GDPR and any localization requirements in countries of operation.
  • Ensuring the smooth customer journey process for the client from the first contact until the completion of the project, when the client’s company is fully compliant with data protection laws.

You’ll be successful if you have

  • At least 2-3 years of data protection experience.
  • A legal background, a degree from an accredited law school is a plus.
  • Experience with high-tech companies preferred.
  • Proven work experience in an in-house legal department or a major law firm is a plus.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English is mandatory and preferably also in one of the Scandinavian languages.
  • Team management experience.
  • Experience working with international clients is an advantage.

Salary

2800 – 4300 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your competencies, skills, and experience.
